U.S. Green Building Council celebrates the 2021 Class of LEED Fellows

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), the premier organization independently recognizing excellence in green business industry performance and practice globally, has announced the 2021 class of LEED Fellows. Twenty-one individuals from around the world are being recognized for their mastery of LEED, the world’s most widely used green building rating system, and exceptional work in advancing green building practices.

“People are the driving force behind the green building movement and are responsible for helping the industry grow and flourish,” said Mahesh Ramanujam, president & CEO, USGBC and GBCI. “This year’s class of LEED Fellows represent a group of ambitious and innovative leaders who are committed to the making a positive impact in their community through sustainable building practices.”

LEED Fellows are nominated by their peers and must demonstrate at least 10 years’ worth of exceptional impact with LEED. The LEED Fellow Evaluation Committee completes an extensive review of the nominees’ portfolio and presents the recommended slate to the GBCI Board of Directors for approval.
