SIOR & CoreNet Global partner to streamline subsequent designation eligibility

SIOR and CoreNet to provide accelerated pathways to obtain their subsequent designations.

The Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS (SIOR), the leading commercial real estate association, and corporate real estate association CoreNet Global, have formed a partnership that will provide members of each organization with accelerated pathways to obtain their subsequent designation.

Both SIOR and CoreNet Global aim to advance the commercial real estate industry through professional development, innovative research and publications, and networking opportunities. SIOR currently requires membership applicants to complete three mandatory course topics and three elective course topics for a total of six courses. CoreNet Global currently requires candidates for the Master of Corporate Real Estate (MCR) designation to complete six seminars, including a Capstone seminar.

The agreement allows active SIOR members pursuing the MCR designation to waive one CoreNet Global elective seminar (excluding the Capstone). Active CoreNet Global members who seek to join SIOR can waive all three of the elective courses.

This collaboration between CoreNet Global and SIOR will advance the profession of corporate real estate and the commercial real estate industry overall by providing greater access to education, professional development, and tools for success.
