The FM Framework is a single source of interdisciplinary knowledge and skill building training for facility management professionals. OSCRE joins 7 other organizations in offering essential training options relevant to built environment practices and priorities. IFMA members seeking to upskill in areas that fall under the umbrella of FM responsibility, such as business and institutional furniture, now have direct access to the industry’s top courses and programs.

IFMA members who purchase the Data Governance Certificate Program from OSCRE will receive a discounted rate when using the IFMA discount code at the time of registration. The program consists of ten, one-hour on-demand modules that teach best practices for building data governance capabilities for you and your organization. Successful completion of all modules and quizzes in one year earns the student a certificate in data governance and the skill set to advance your career in an increasingly digital environment.

OSCRE members will receive special pricing for the globally recognized, ANSI-accredited courses IFMA is offering through the program. Whether new to facility management, transitioning into an FM role or learning more about a specific topic, IFMA’s courses will help OSCRE members expand their knowledge of key concepts needed for greater success in FM. IFMA is including the Essentials of Facility Management series and seven of IFMA’s Core Competency courses to organizational partners.

OSCRE’s collaboration with IFMA is focused on common ground — providing opportunities for FMs to grow their skills and the profession with a better understanding of how data can utilize technologies. These technologies include artificial intelligence, machine learning and others across the entire asset life cycle. Our approach to data standards, data governance and data strategy training is a valuable tool for organizations to empower decisions and become truly data-driven.

Lisa Stanley, CEO of OSCRE International

The brainchild of 2018-19 IFMA Board Chair Graham Tier, CFM, FMP, MRICS, the 2019 FM Framework provided guidance on specialized skillsets. It classified specific roles, mapped the skills needed in facility management and recommended professional development options from a network of associations.

IFMA has been partnering with other associations for several years to provide training for FMs, sharing and cross-promoting our educational resources. But now, with OSCRE and other partners officially contributing to the FM Framework, we’re providing an integrated training program that covers the entire life cycle of the built environment. We are also excited to introduce our partner organizations to facilities management through IFMA training.
