Infection prevention pros get support from partnership with GP PRO

GP PRO places among infection prevention leaders with APIC

GP PRO, a division of Georgia-Pacific, helping to advance hygiene in healthcare and a range of other market segments, announces that it is a 2022 Strategic Partner of the Association for Professionals in Infection Prevention and Epidemiology (APIC). The partnership affords GP PRO the opportunity to establish long-term relationships and engage directly with like-minded organizations as well as APIC’s 15,000 infection preventionist members in advancing the science and practice of infection prevention and control.

As a Strategic Partner, GP PRO anticipates participating in many of APIC’s educational initiatives and services by sharing its industry insights and proprietary research findings with APIC’s membership, which includes nurses, physicians, epidemiologists, microbiologists, public health professionals, and other individuals dedicated to preventing the spread of infection. In addition, as with all APIC Strategic Partners, GP PRO supports the Competency Advancement Assistance (CAA) Program, which is APIC’s financial assistance program that helps infection preventionists further their education by managing the cost associated with obtaining the Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC®) credential. The CAA Program covers exam fees and study resources for up to 50 IPs annually.

GP PRO is keenly focused on advancing hygiene and enhancing human and environmental health, so we are very excited to work alongside APIC, its members and other industry leaders to better understand and help solve for the barriers that hinder consistent infection prevention and control.

Ronnie Phillips, Ph.D., senior director of innovation, Healthcare with GP PRO.

We are excited to welcome GP PRO as an APIC Strategic Partner as we prepare to celebrate APIC’s 50th anniversary. As we work toward advancing the science and practice of infection prevention and control, our hope is that, together, we can create a safer world through the prevention of infection.

APIC CEO, Devin Jopp, EdD, MS.
