NFMT 2022: Basic? Pro? Elite? Virtual? Baltimore’s registration options

The National Facilities Management & Technology (NFMT) Conference & Expo is returning to the Baltimore Convention Center on March 29-31, 2022. This is the first time NFMT has returned to Baltimore since the COVID-19 pandemic began in March 2020.

“Facility managers are ready to return to in-person events,” says Dan Weltin, editor-in-chief, facility market at Trade Press Media Group. “Virtual conferences have been helpful during the pandemic, but they are no substitute for a live trade show. NFMT will be the best opportunity to learn about the latest trends and see new products.”

NFMT kicks-off FM education for 2022.

NFMT first launched in 2001 by Building Operating Management and Facility Maintenance Decisions magazines with the goal of providing world-class education, products and networking to facilities professionals. Twenty years later, the show continues to deliver on its promise by offering broad-based education for facilities professionals ranging from government, healthcare, retail, education, hospitality and more. The show is now offering four different registration options to choose from, allowing for a more personalized experience. The tiers are:

Basic: At this level, registrants are able to attend the expo for free and have access to 20-minute learning lab sessions. In addition, Basic-level registrants are able to attend the Networking Party held the evening of March 29.

Pro: For just $29 registrants can secure the “Pro” level tier. At the Pro level, in addition to attending the 20-minute learning lab sessions and the Networking Party, attendees are able to pre-register for all sessions, have on-site access to 40 breakout sessions and can earn continuing education units.

Elite: For $149, registrants can become an “Elite” attendee. Guests will have access to all that is in the aforementioned tiers, including video access to content after the show ends. In addition, Elite attendees will also secure a six-month subscription to fnPrime, a membership-only community that has new resources available to help facility professionals each month.

Virtual: In order to remain COVID-friendly, NFMT is providing a virtual option for attendees that would like to stay remote for just $49. With this level, registrants are able access 20-minute learning lab sessions.

“We’re not just excited, we’re thrilled to bring NFMT back to Baltimore,” says Jill McDermott, CEO of Trade Press Media Group. “After three long years away, the facilities community is more than ready to return to a face-to-face setting. We look forward to delivering our 20th trade show with a vibrant expo and a particularly strong conference session lineup.”

On March 28, the conference is kicking off with a two-hour interactive workshop that will provide hands-on tools. All Pro and Elite level attendees are welcome to join the event.

NFMT is also bringing a series of educational sessions to help facilities professionals grow in their careers. The Foundation Sessions will cover topics ranging from safety, technology and sustainability. These 60-minute seminars are geared to be more introductory, and as a result, all attendees are welcome to participate.

Breakout Sessions will also be offered, focusing on key trends, challenges and opportunities in facilities management for the year and beyond. These 60-minute sessions drill down into more detail with a higher level of sophistication and strategic, big-picture thinking. All Pro and Elite Level registrants are able to attend these sessions.

More than 50 speakers will be presenting this year.

“Attendees trust the education at NFMT because the show is put on by the same team that is behind the industry leading publications Building Operating Management, Facility Maintenance Decisions and FacilitiesNet.com,” says Weltin.

New to the conference this year are Roundtables. These 45-minute discussions will focus on specific building types or trends. These casual conversations will allow for attendees to network with peers in a smaller group environment. Registrants are encouraged to ask questions to like-minded facilities managers from around the country. Each roundtable will have an official moderator to help guide conversations as well.

Trade Press Media Group has been accredited as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). Because of this, all NFMT 2022 attendees are able to document and earn professional development credit (CEUs) for attending full hour conference sessions. Ten days after the show concludes, attendees will receive and email link with an assessment for each session attended. After successfully answering the questions, attendees will receive a transcript with the CEUS earned and can be used to self-report to any licensing or association.

Expo hall hours don’t overlap with conference sessions, allowing attendees to attend the hall with more than 100 exhibitors. The expo hall will house four different pavilions for facilities professionals to see products in real time and learn about service solutions.

The pavilions include:

Building Service: This pavilion features suppliers who provide facility solutions on a contract or project basis.

Safety, Security and Access Control: The pavilion will cater to manufacturers of entry systems, windows, doors, curtain wall, skylights, door hardware, security and access control systems.

Smart and Health Building Pavilion: Featuring products that allow facilities mangers to operate efficient, intelligent and sustainable facilities.

Facility Maintenance & Facility Cleaning: The pavilion features suppliers who provide maintenance and cleaning products and services and facility solutions.

In addition, Product Zone Sessions will also take place in the expo hall, covering innovative technology and trends that will help solve all challenges facilities managers deal with on a daily basis.

Demand for NFMT has never been as high as it is today. Facilities professionals are eager to discover new products and useful services.
