Architect of L.A.’s “The Bloc” moves in as its newest tenant

The blocStudio One Eleven, an integrated practice of architecture, landscape and urban design, has opened its new Downtown Los Angeles office overlooking the firm’s largest and most complex project, The Bloc.

“As architects and urbanists, we couldn’t be happier to be moving into our new office in Downtown L.A.,” said Marcus Luciani, Director of the new downtown office.  “To have an office within one of our most accomplished projects is going to be a great opportunity for our company and will help us to further engage in the redevelopment of Downtown Los Angeles.”

The Studio’s new space allows them to better service their existing clients and gives them the opportunity to explore new ways in furthering their practice of urban regeneration throughout the city. In addition to the Bloc, current projects include mixed-use, office, hotel and community building projects throughout the region.  Some of these include the continued revitalization of the La Brea District in mid-city, master planning of The Lot in West Hollywood, and leading a community visioning project in Reseda with Los Angeles Neighborhood Initiative and Councilmember Bob Blumenfield’s office.

As The Bloc’s office community continues to flourish, Studio One Eleven is looking forward to joining a diverse group of tenants who are being attracted to downtown’s transformed mixed-use environment.

“These new tenants will add to the growing hub of global enterprises laying down roots at The Bloc and will contribute to the further growth of L.A.’s business epicenter,” said Wayne Ratkovich, president and CEO of The Ratkovich Company. “We’re excited to bring Studio One Eleven to a thriving, truly creative work space at the center of the Downtown Los Angeles revitalization.”
