Aquatherm pipe is made from tough, durable polypropylene (PP), which weighs a fraction of what similarly-sized steel pipe weighs, yet has an anticipated life span about three times longer than steel. Aquatherm PP pipe is hydrophobic and will never corrode or scale. It is joined using heat fusion, which can offer labor savings over welding steel, and a properly performed heat fusion connection eliminates leak paths. In addition, heat fusion doesn’t require an open flame, so hot work permits aren’t necessary. Aquatherm Blue Pipe can handle up to 180°F fluids at 100 psi, making it ideal for transporting fluids in the vast majority of commercial heating systems.
