Advanced Workplace Associates launches Workplace Week International 2020

Advanced Workplace Associates (AWA), a specialist management consultancy that provides valuable support to organizations transitioning to new models of working, has announced the launch of Workplace Week International (WPW) 2020, a virtual festival taking place November 9-12 to celebrate global workplace transformation.

Following a year of rapid change in the global workplace industry, the four-day online event invites leaders from the worlds of HR, facilities management, corporate real estate, design, IT and more to explore how science, innovation and new working practices can enhance business performance, enable healthy lives and create a sustainable future.

With the support of leading industry bodies, including the International Facility Management Association, Workplace Evolutionaries, the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the 2020 program will showcase the very best in work models and workstyles from some of the world’s most forward-thinking organizations.

All proceeds will be donated to the festival’s international charity partners: BBC Children in Need in the UK; Make a Wish in France, Brazil, Switzerland and India; and the I Have a Dream Foundation in the U.S.  – boosting the $100,000 total already raised to date in the U.K. and U.S. throughout WPW’s 10-year legacy.

Workplace Week launched in London in 2010, offering a lively program of in-person workplace tours and sessions to inspire and celebrate workplace excellence and new ways of working. Following a successful eight-year run in the U.K. capital, Workplace Week New York launched in 2018, quickly establishing itself as a tentpole in the industry calendar.

Through a blockbuster program of real-life corporate case-study webinars, virtual panel sessions and sponsor fringe sessions, the refreshed and re-imagined 2020 program will shine a light on how organizations are evolving their workplace models, technology and infrastructure, accelerated by the challenges of 2020, to create positive and sustainable change.

“Each year, Workplace Week has got bigger and better, bringing new insights on work, place and creativity to the workplace community,” Andrew Mawson, managing director of AWA, said. “The core goal is to expose people to new thinking, and to create conversation and a space for shared learning, all while raising money for charity. We had a hattrick of Workplace Weeks in store this year, with Workplace Week Paris due to join its London and New York counterparts, but the pandemic – in conjunction with Workplace Week’s 10-year anniversary – has since inspired other plans. We believe this is a perfect opportunity to create a global community that has the potential to change the world of work.”
